Here is my weekly weather quiz question. What is a “Storm Surge?”
____________
An Upper Level High Pressure is still in charge of our weather pattern, but cold fronts still manage to break through, The graphics for days 1-3 show a cold front pushing over the top of the high pressure ridge and moving through Oregon Friday. The graphics for days 3-7 Sunday through Thursday show a cold front will be moving in next Wednesday and Thursday.
Note: Lane County residents will have to wait until Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at the earliest for the opening of the fall outdoor burning season. The season is typically scheduled to start on October 1 each year. However, the decision to delay has been jointly made by the Lane County Fire Defense Board and the Oregon Department of Forestry (ODF).
