Here is my weekly weather quiz question. What is a “Storm Surge?”

____________

An Upper Level High Pressure   is still in charge of our weather pattern, but cold fronts still manage to break through, The graphics for days 1-3 show the cold front that pushed over the top of the high pressure ridge today.  The graphics for days 3-7   Monday through Friday show frontal activity moving in next Tuesday through Thursday.

Note: Lane County residents will have to wait until Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at the earliest for the opening of the fall outdoor burning season. The season is typically scheduled to start on October 1 each year. However, the decision to delay has been jointly made by the Lane County Fire Defense Board and the Oregon Department of Forestry (ODF).
