Here is my new weekly weather quiz question. What is the “Statosphere”?
____________
An Upper Level High Pressure is still in charge of our weather pattern, but cold fronts still manage to break through. The graphics for days 1-3 show a frontal system offshore Tuesday. The graphics for days 3-7 Thursday through Monday show frontal activity moving in next Thursday. A front will be offshore next Monday.
Note: Lane County residents will have to wait until Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at the earliest for the opening of the fall outdoor burning season. The season is typically scheduled to start on October 1 each year. However, the decision to delay has been jointly made by the Lane County Fire Defense Board and the Oregon Department of Forestry (ODF).
