Here is my new weekly weather quiz question. What is the “Statosphere”?

____________

Upper Level High Pressure   (“Arch” shape)is being pushed aside by Upper level Low Pressure (“U” shape) which means rain chances return. The graphics for days 1-3 show a frontal system moving in today and tonight. The graphics for days 3-7   Friday through Tuesday show frontal activity offshore next Monday.

Note: Lane County residents will have to wait until Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at the earliest for the opening of the fall outdoor burning season. The season is typically scheduled to start on October 1 each year. However, the decision to delay has been jointly made by the Lane County Fire Defense Board and the Oregon Department of Forestry (ODF).
