An Upper Level Low Pressure Trough (“U” shape) takes over. The graphics for days 1-3 show the cold front pushing through Oregon and another front along the coast Friday. The graphics for days 3-7 Saturday through Wednesday show the front that continues it’s easterly movement Saturday and the cold frontal system that will slide through Tuesday.

Even with a late start to the ’24 outdoor burning season, the fall burning season for Eugene, Springfield, Oakridge and their urban growth boundaries (UGBs) ends tomorrow Thursday October 31st at 5pm. Violations for burning during the closed season may result in fines ranging from $50 to $2,500 or more. Outdoor burning may continue for the remainder of Lane County, but residents should verify the daily advisory status to ensure burning is permitted.
