Here is my weekly weather quiz question. What is a “Surface Weather Chart “?

____________

An Upper Level Low Pressure Trough (“U” shape) in in control of our weather. The graphics for days 1-3 show the cold front that pushed through Oregon today and another front along the coast that will move through Friday. The graphics for days 3-7   Sunday through Thursday show the front that moves through Monday and another frontal system that be to our northwest next Thursday.

Note:

Even with a late start to the ’24 outdoor burning season, the fall burning season for Eugene, Springfield, Oakridge and their urban growth boundaries (UGBs) ends tomorrow Thursday October 31st at 5pm.  Violations for burning during the closed season may result in fines ranging from $50 to $2,500 or more. Outdoor burning may continue for the remainder of Lane County, but residents should verify the daily advisory status to ensure burning is permitted. Residents can check the advisory status by visiting LRAPA’s website or calling the LRAPA daily outdoor burning advisory at 541-726-3976. Coastal residents should call 541-997-1757.
