Here is my new weekly weather quiz question. What is the “Thermocline “?

____________

Upper Level High Pressure takes over as the Jet Stream has moved to the south away from us bringing drying and plenty of sunshine, but cold overnight temperatures, through the weekend. The graphics for days 1-3 show no frontal systems.  The graphics for days 3-7   Sunday through Thursday show no serious frontal activity over the Pacific Northwest through the period, but a complex frontal system will be to our Northwest next Thursday.

Note: Ski Report: Willamette Pass Ski announced it will be open again Friday November 29th for early season skiing, Hoodoo is not open yet, Mt. Ashland is not open yet. Check their Web sites for any new updates.
