Here is my new weekly weather quiz question. What is the “Thermocline “?

____________

The Jet stream is still sending cold air southward into the Pacific Northwest producing cold overnight temperatures and cooler than normal high temperatures. The graphics for days 1-3 show no frontal systems.  The graphics for days 3-7   Monday through Friday show no serious frontal activity over the Pacific Northwest through the period.

Note: Ski Report: Willamette Pass Ski announced it is open now for early season skiing,  Hoodoo will be opening open Saturday and Sunday, Mt. Ashland announced opening day will be Friday December 6th.  Check their Web sites for specific mountain conditions and hours of operation.
