A Reminder: The moon was officially full a 11:10 AM today (the Full Worm Moon). The moon looks larger than ever because it is closer to Earth (a distance of 221,565 miles (356,575 kilometers) away) than that it has been in more than 18 years, the biggest full moon of 2011 occurred this AM, leading some observers to dub it a “supermoon.”
theVernal Equinox occurs at 4:21 PM Pacific Daylight Time tomorrow March 20th.
_______________
The jet stream shows a trough of low pressure ( “U” shaped area) swinging in toward the Pacific Northwest. The low pressure offshore along with a surface frontal system that will march through Oregon will keep us wet, at least off and on. Additional storms will be aiming for us like this frontal system that will roll in early in the week to our South (position shown is Tuesday).
