Here is my weekly weather quiz question for the last time. What is a “Tornado Family “? Here is the correct answer. A Tornado Family is a series of tornadoes produced by a single supercell, resulting in damage path segments along the same general line.

____________

An Upper Level High Pressure Ridge (“Arch” shape) is moving toward the Pacific Northwest as the Upper Level Low Pressure leaves.. The graphics for days 1-3 show the frontal system that moved over Oregon Saturday and Saturday night.  The graphics for days 3-7    Wednesday through Sunday show surface high pressure through Wednesday, then a complex frontal system slides in between Thursday and Friday. A complex frontal system will be pushing to the coast next Saturday.

Note: Ski Report: Willamette Pass Ski announced it is open now for early season skiing 7- days a week. Hoodoo is open 9am til 4pm, and Mt. Ashland is open.  Check their Web sites for specific mountain conditions and hours of operation.
