Here is my weekly weather quiz question for the last time. What is  “Zero Datum?” Here is the correct answer.  Zero Datum: In hydrologic terms, a reference “zero” elevation for a stream or river gauge. This “zero” can be referenced (usually within ten feet of the bottom of the channel) to mean sea level, or to any other recognized datum.


The Jet Stream is still pushing fronts our way and sending plenty of moisture to the Pacific Northwest. The graphics for days 1-3 show a  complex frontal system approaching the coast. The graphics for days 3-7    Wednesday through Sunday show the frontal activity through the period.
