Here is my new weekly weather quiz question. What is an “Abutment?”


An Upper Level High Pressure Ridge (“Arch” shape) is tilting eastward and weakening allowing frontal movement into the Pacific Northwest. The graphics for days 1-3 show cold front sliding through Friday and Friday night. The graphics for days 3-7    Monday through Friday show the no frontal activity through the period until a cold front a cold front pushes into the Pacific Northwest next Friday.
