An Upper Level High Pressure Ridge (“Arch” shape will be moving toward the Pacific coast, but a front will slip by it. The graphics for days 1-3 show the surface low and its associated cold front pushing into the Willamette Valley Tuesday, but not much rainfall will actually fall in our area. The graphics for days 3-7 Thursday through Monday show cold front that will be pushing through the Pacific Northwest between Friday and Saturday. Then another complex frontal system will be approaching the Pacific Coast next Monday.

An Upper Level Low Pressure Trough (“U” shape) has moved up to the Pacific Coast. The graphics for days 1-3 show the surface low and its associated cold front that into California then pushed eastward bringing some showers to the South Willamette Valley, but the bulk of the rainfall was to our south. The graphics for days 3-7 Tuesday through Saturday show a complex frontal system sliding in Wednesday, then a cold front will be moving through the Pacific Northwest next Friday and Saturday.
