An upper level low (watch the yellow “U” shaped area move along the coast)  will slide down the coast then eastward keeping the chance of rain with us for a while. Don’t expect a lot of rain, but just enough to keep us cooler with the threat of wet. We’ll have for to wait for sunshine and drier weather  until Summer officially begins tomorrow at 4:28 AM Pacific Daylight Time. What about the Summer weather? A taste of it early next week, then by next Sunday a cold front will drop down from the northwest doing no more than to cool us a bit.

We have a winner. Congratulations to Dan Kelly for being the first person to post the correct answer. Here is my weekly weather quiz question one more time. What common name do we have for an electrostatic discharge that is accompanied by the emission of visible light and other forms of electromagnetic radiation? Dan’s answer was “lightning”.  I’ll have another weekly weather question for you starting next Monday. The first person to post the correct answer will win one week of free personalized forecasts tailored to their needs.

Here is my weekly weather quiz question. What common name do we have for an electrostatic discharge that is accompanied by the emission of visible light and other forms of electromagnetic radiation? Please place your answer as a comment after the forecasts. The first person to post the correct answer will win one week of free personalized forecasts tailored to their needs. Good luck.

An upper level trough of low pressure (shaded “U” shape moving through Oregon) will give us at least a chance of rain into the weekend. Then we will go back to more sun and warmer weather as we approach Father’s Day. Summer officially begins on Monday June 21st at 4:28 AM Pacific Daylight Time. Looks like it will actually look and feel more like summer is getting underway early next week.
