Sorry, but nobody posted the correct answer for this week’s weather quiz question. Here it is again. In the 1933 H. G. Wells fantasy movie “The Invisible Man” (one of my favorite movies), Claude Rains is a mad scientist who wreaks havoc on a small British village until what weather event leads to his capture? The correct answer is a snow storm. They were able to follow his footprints in the snow. I’ll have another question for you starting next Monday. The first person to post the correct answer will win a week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to your needs.
_______________

An upper level trough of low pressure (the “U” shaped dip in the yellow line) is moving eastward and that means it will stay cool through the weekend then start to warm up again, but another trough will move in Wednesday and cool us off again. You can see the pattern, but it should stay dry.

An  upper level High Pressure ridge (the “arch” shaped portion of the yellow lines) is slowly moving away from us. A trough of low pressure ( “U” shaped area) is sliding down from the Gulf of Alaska and it will move eastward just to the north of us. A weak cool front has brought cooler temperatures and a few morning sprinkles today.  A very weak  cold front will drop down from the northwest by Thursday, but it looks like it will have little or no effect.

Here’s my new weekly weather quiz. This is more of a “fun” weather question. In the 1933 H. G.  Wells fantasy movie “The Invisible Man” (one of my favorite movies), Claude Rains is a mad scientist who wreaks havoc on a small British village until what weather event leads to his capture? Please place your answer as a comment after the forecasts on this page. The first person to post the correct answer will win a week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to your needs. Good luck.
