Sorry, no winner this week. Here is my weekly weather quiz question for the last time. Why are clouds white?  Here is the correct answer. Clouds are white because they reflect the light of the sun. Light is made up of the colors of the rainbows and when you add them all together you get white. The sun appears a yellow color because it sends out more yellow light than any other color. Clouds reflect all of the colors the exact same  amount so they look white. I’ll have another weekly weather quiz question for you starting Monday. Please remember to post your answer as a comment by clicking on “no comments /comments” in the upper right hand portion of this page under the caption, then add your comment. The first person to post the correct answer will win a week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to your needs. The answer has to be a comment to win. An email answer will not count.

An upper level low (“U” shape in blue arrows shaded in grey) has moved in off the Oregon coast. A frontal system started sliding into the state bringing more clouds and cooler temperatures again. We’ll get a little warmer toward the end of the week and leading into the holiday weekend.
