Here is my weekly weather quiz question for the last time. What is a “Theodolite “? Here is the correct answer.  A Theodolite is an instrument used in surveying to measure horizontal and vertical angles with a small telescope that can move in the horizontal and vertical planes. It used to track the movements of either a ceiling balloon or a radiosonde.

____________

The Jet Stream has moved to the south a bit, but is still is sending moisture our way in the form of a series of frontal systems. The graphics for days 1-3 show continuing frontal activity through Oregon until Sunday. The graphics for days 3-7   Wednesday through Sunday show no serious frontal activity over the Pacific Northwest through the period.

Note: Ski Report: Willamette Pass Ski announced it is open today from 9 am until 4 pm, Hoodoo is not open yet, Mt. Ashland planed opening day is December 14th.
