Here is the correct answer. The infrared satellite image senses the difference in temperatures in the atmosphere to see the clouds while the visible satellite image is a picture taken by the satellite like a regular camera would. We’ll see cooling, but more humid for the weekend as the ridge weakens and a low off the coast moves to the north. Thunderstorms are possible for today due to cooler air moving down from aloft and the warm moist air movin in from the south around the low. A cold front will approach the coast Wednesday and start moving through the Pacific Northwest Thursday. It doesn’t look like it will do much to change our weather.
