An upper level trough of low pressure (shaded “U” shape following the ridge) will continue moving through Oregon. A weak upper level high (Small “Arch” shape in blue arrows) will clear us up and dry us out a bit for the weekend as another low (“U” shape) moves in off the Washington and Oregon coasts to return the clouds. A frontal system (position shown is Monday) will return the chance of rain ahead of it Sunday just in time for Father’s Day.

An upper level trough of low pressure (shaded “U” shape following the ridge) will move up sitting offshore as a new frontal system slides in Wednesday (position shown is Thursday) bringing us a slight chance of showers. That upper trough will hang around long enough to keep the slight chance of showers around for most of the rest of the week. A weak upper level high (Flat “Arch” shape in blue arrows) will try unsuccessfully to clear us a bit for the weekend as another low (“U” shape) moves in off the Washington and Oregon coasts. So the slight chance of showers will be enhanced by a slight chance of a thunderstorm Saturday afternoon.
