Here is my weekly weather quiz question for the last time. “What is a “Radiosonde?” Here is the correct answer. A Radiosonde is an instrument that is carried aloft by a balloon to send back information on atmospheric temperature, pressure and humidity by means of a small, expendable radio transmitter. Radiosondes can be tracked by radar, radio direction finding, or navigation systems (such as the satellite Global Positioning System) to obtain wind data.

An Upper Lever High Pressure Ridge  brings the Pacific Northwest sunshine.  The graphics for days 1-3  show a frontal system sliding into Oregon Monday. The graphics for days 3-7     Wednesday through Sunday show a frontal system offshore next Saturday moving across the Pacific Northwest Saturday through next Sunday.
