It’s time again for my weekly weather quiz question. This week’s question shouldn’t be too hard. What name is given precipitation that falls from a cloud, but evaporates before it reaches the ground? It is seen as dark streaks coming out of the cloud. Please post your answer as a comment after these forecasts. The first person to post the correct answer will win one week of free personalized weather forecasts tailored to your needs. Good luck.

______________

An upper level low is moving closer from the West (see the blue arrows moving in a counterclockwise direction). A frontal system has moved through Oregon bringhing a good moisture feed with it. . High pressure will return about mid week or so to dry us a bit, as we will be between storm systems, but it won’t last long as another frontal system will move through the Pacific Northwest late Friday night and Saturday.

Sorry, no winner this week. Here again is my weekly weather quiz question. What is the largest non-human death toll from a tornado? The answer is; the largest non-human death toll from a tornado occurred on April 26, 1994 when a tornado swept through a turkey farm in Barron County, Wisconsin. The farm was destroyed and approximately 10,000 turkeys were killed. I’ll have a new weekly weather quiz question next week. The first person to post the correct answer will win one week of free personalized forecasts tailored to your needs. Good luck.

An upper level low is still spinning around offshore (see the blue arrows moving in a counterclockwise direction). The unsettled weather will continue as weak waves move into parts of the Pacific Northwest spun in by that low.  The next storm system is just offshore ready to move in.   Another one will replace it by Monday as a complex frontal system moves through Oregon.
